The exploit took $250M. Then TVL dropped near $7B in 24 hours. Then exchange inflows hit 6x the monthly average. All three. At the same time.
@aave is under enormous pressure right now.
BGD Labs left. Chaos Labs left. The people who understood this protocol at the deepest level were already gone before the attacker showed up. You can patch a smart contract. You can't replace years of institutional knowledge that just walked out the door.
Then $rsETH got exploited. Real users, real losses:
- Suppliers in WETH and rsETH-related pools couldn't fully withdraw, 10% to 50%+ gone depending on exposure
- Borrowers got liquidated en masse
- No theoretical damage. Actual money. Actual people.
