Over the years, he also built an informal influence network, often described as a shadow cabinet, to counter more moderate policies. The situation became more tense after Donald Trump canceled plans to send a delegation to Pakistan for talks. At the same time, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is still trying to stay at the center of negotiations. This highlights how multiple power centers are competing to shape Iran’s foreign policy.
