I’m a big fan of showing process and failure. even if it means looking dumb.

when all the things we share are all polished, the audience takes them in, admires them even, then convinces themselves it’s out of reach.

“they’re so talented—I could never…” 

and so the thing goes into the not-for-me category. 

often, this is a disservice to everyone involved. 

it detracts from 1. The depth of work that goes into a polished thing and 2. The idea that such things are, more often than not, also obtainable by the viewer.

also—it’s both fun and funny to see the bloopers of process. I mean, what else is life but an outtakes reel of attempts?
