Vlad (@skateboard) used to be a pro skateboarder and was an early explorer in crypto and decentralized social media. He is also currently living at the very interesting /network-school in Singapore. When he began learning to code, he started building skatehive.app, a decentralized social platform for skateboarders. That project led him to Gnars ⌐◨-◨, a Nouns fork focused on extreme sports. Today, he's still building both as passion projects, while also working on Blank.space (currently nounspace.com), a hyper-customizable Farcaster client, and, of course, contributing to Nouns. His mission in Web3 is to bring skateboarders on-chain. He believes Web3 will thrive if we each concentrate on our close communities. I also share this belief and hope this channel helps creators like Vlad explore this format across their own cozy communities in Farcaster.

oh hell YES. I’ve been thinking a lot about how to bring (more and more) snowboarders onchain, especially ones who are sick riders but don’t have the big sponsors and need other avenues of getting paid. thank you for sharing this and introducing me to @skateboard 🤘 I also am in love w the idea that yes, if we each bring our own niche communities in, we build/grow in real ways.
