Reduced Use Case for Payments CBDCs offer fast, low-cost, government-backed digital payments. This could erode Bitcoin’s utility as a peer-to-peer payment system, especially in retail and cross-border transactions. Bitcoin may retain its store-of-value appeal, but lose ground in transactional use cases.
