Trusting any centralized service (Coinbase, X, etc.) with your government ID is one of the worst things you can do.

We as web3 need to do a better job at navigating risks, because with the Coinbase leak, this will be a physical THREAT for people.

I agree. Especially if you look at track records.

For us Europeans it's a complete different playground. We are screwed w/o, but one could start with ALL optional services. Again, ID verifying to X without the need to is insanity to me.
