solana plugged into base. somehow i missed the real headline on sep 14 at basecamp 2025 caught the recap later. jesse said “base is a bridge, not an island” and they actually shipped a base <=> solana bridge on testnet why i care as a user first // i can drop sol into base apps // i can pull base usdc to solana // both directions in ~15 min, erc20 <=> spl happens under the hood // code is open under mit, mainnet in weeks why it matters bigger than one app // base brings coinbase rails and evm liquidity // solana brings speed and that retail energy // liquidity and users start flowing both ways, portfolios stop caring about runtimes, surface area for builders explodes i wasn’t even paying full attention, now it’s the only line stuck in my head
