Airdrops are necessarily cyclical.

people get rich -> overfarming ensues -> everyone is diluted -> airdrop hunters go away -> (back to step 1)

Likewise for projects.

airdropping gets you attention -> every project starts airdropping -> attention is diluted -> projects pull back on airdrops -> (step 1 again)

I’m hearing this a lot but as long as people like “free money”, tokens still exist and companies need to attract capital, it is unlikely to disappear. 

Credit card rewards are essentially smaller airdrop programs with a lot more regulation wrapped around them.
