Its been almost two years since Optimism Collective welcomed /base 

As part of the agreement, Base will share its revenue, up to 15%, with the collective, and in return, it receives approximately $ 118M in $OP tokens distributed over 6 years.

Let's see it in numbers. 

1. 118M $OP distributed equally - appox 19.6M $OP /year - 40M $OP for two years
2. In the last 2 years, their revenue share is 6369 $ETH or approx 30M $OP

To early to tell if this experiment was a success or not, but as of today, Base contribution is 10M $OP less than the collective contribution. 

But Base is positioned well in L2 space, which could help it maintain its growth rate and attract new users on-chain.
