Pivot to Web5?
Financially: Web5 removes the need for token launches, ICOs, or tokenomics teams. This shifts capital allocation from marketing hype to actual development.
Socially: The pivot requires changing how we think about “value” on the internet. Web5 isn’t about speculating on coins; it’s about building functional, respectful tools.
Technically: Developers will need to learn how to work with DIDs, Verifiable Credentials, and DWNs. Tools and libraries are being released by TBD and are open-source.
Finally, Web3 made decentralization exciting, Web5 makes it real. It's not about replacing anything, but about building a better layer for identity and data, where you, not corporations or wallets, are in control.
The question isn't if Web5 will replace Web3 but if we want the future of the internet to serve people or platforms.
