It depends on if you believe BTC will be a true store of value and and adoption will continue. I believe it will so $70k BTC or $110k BTC doesn't matter to me.

Funding is a big issue. If you don't have seed money or VC money, you most likely launch a token to fund development. If that token price goes down, money runs out, no game and investors are stuck with nothing. A lot of p2e games depend on people farming for tokens to build up hype. Constant sell pressure. Some games have to keep Minting tokens for rewards. Inflationary is usually bad for token prices. Development times can be long. Some games have been building for 3+ years which is ridiculous.

A common sentiment in crypto is you have to build massive hype and launch a token. What usually happens is a downward spiral. What if you had utility, stealth launched and built from the ground up? Would that be better? Riskier for sure.
