I had the best time this weekend watching people connect, speaking about why they love to make the things they make and holding space for others, specially those starting out. This was a success because it was small and personal. I realized there isn’t enough support for small businesses and artists. Everyone is working 2 jobs to live and be able to do what they love. My corporate job allowed organize but if I didn’t need to work a corporate job I wouldn’t. Corporations are not the answer they get tax breaks and no accountability. We are obsessed with growth, and scaling and profits when all we need is to make a decent living and enjoy life.
