This key cap is very broken. Apple says they need to replace the entire keyboard. Any creative ideas here. It still works when I press on the rubber it’s just that a piece of plastic broke off and the app replacement keys don’t snap on. 

Any creative ideas on how I can fix this?

p.s. because I don’t live anywhere near an Apple Store nor in a place apple can ship to, just replacing the keyboard is not an option since it takes to long.

There are a bunch of local experts, open Google Maps and you will find a place with good reviews.

Besides "authorized apple technicians" to people "experts in Apple devices", all of them can make this happen on a morning for you.

Probably buying the keyboard in advance and bring it with you to them, but if you don't want to wait, pretty sure they also have them in-store for sale.
