Gotta be the contrarian here and say that music makes much more sense as an NFT than as a fungible token.

It’s almost the same, IFPS just stored in an ERC20. If anything it might be better because there’s built up liquidity and distribution rather than nothing but bids and air beneath. Wyt?

I’m releasing music for the world and trying to find the method that has the greatest distribution and reach with liquidity to bring fans onchain! Also, Memecoins have shown us how much power they have with community! Not saying we won’t explore NFT’s down the road, there’s deffinately benefits to each route!

Are you releasing music for traders or are you releasing music for fans?

We have a fair number of Web3 artists who have released music as an NFT. The most notable success story has been @violettazironi, but there are many others as well.

If you want people trading your songs like a memecoin, fungible tokens make sense, but nothing is better for community building than NFTs & I have seen, firsthand, how offering unique experiences, access, token-gated live performances, and many other fan benefits for loyal NFT holders creates a new way for music fans to connect with their favorite artists that has largely been gatekept by middlemen (records, agents, etc) to the detriment of both artists and fans over the decades.
