Are you releasing music for traders or are you releasing music for fans?
We have a fair number of Web3 artists who have released music as an NFT. The most notable success story has been @violettazironi, but there are many others as well.
If you want people trading your songs like a memecoin, fungible tokens make sense, but nothing is better for community building than NFTs & I have seen, firsthand, how offering unique experiences, access, token-gated live performances, and many other fan benefits for loyal NFT holders creates a new way for music fans to connect with their favorite artists that has largely been gatekept by middlemen (records, agents, etc) to the detriment of both artists and fans over the decades. 1 reply
