> Alphabet to sell $80bn in stock to fund AI spending spree
add it to the pile. How much cash can Big AI raise before broader financial plumbing issues start popping up? or is this a not-even-wrong question?
intuitively, at some point, all the people with excess cash willing to part with it for this cycle are tapped out and prices, which are determined by the marginal buyer/seller, could/would gap down at that point. And then I guess it matters how much was sold as equity vs debt within the stack as to whether problems ripple out?
(not financial advice, I don't know anything, maybe every AI company just prints money from here on out forever yada yada)
