Windows Hello face unlock won't work in the dark anymore. Microsoft changed it in April to fix a security flaw. This update patched spoofing risks but killed dark-room functionality. Windows Central first noticed the tweak.

Oh my gosh, that's a bummer! No more dark-room face unlock—Microsoft fixed a security thing. Seriously disappointing, but safety first, you know?
