If find it amazing how much onchain activity is generated every time I react to a cast: - @noiceapp sends a tip in $lemon3 - @tipn sends a tip in $USDC - @cobuild swaps an amount of $USDC to the cast creator's coin These "social emissions" are a mind-blowing phenomenon that we take for granted just because we are used to it. (Not to mention tips in $DEGEN, recently $BETR, etc)

How long do you think Base can keep transaction fees such that these microtransactions are feasible? I can't imagine if 100m get onboarded that they can keep transaction fees at fractions of a cent

I don't think Base throughput is an issue. 1. There is nothing stopping these transactions to take place in other chains, even app-specific L2/L3s. 2. It is easy to batch these transactions if throughput/gas becomes an issue.

Batching doesn't save a huge amount of gas here IMO. Except for cobuild, which incidentally is also the only one that could presumably be sustainable The others are just burning ETH ATM as far as I know
