Users will have two options: 1. Visit a Farcaster profile/cast and enjoy the media through a miniapp. See @fc1 for example. 2. Use the CLI to download all media shared by one (or more) users.

Hey! This is cool - I was hacking on something similar recently for a hackathon but was trying to integrate it with x402 HTTPS://datealth.xyz I ended up integrating with proxy402.com API instead of rolling my own for the file upload but maybe there is room to use lemon / Collab Also played with new x402:// URIs and a viewer for them / payer for them but I didn’t fully finish it yet

Nice. But trying to understand why I would need payments. The idea is free, open, p2p file sharing.

Ah well maybe you don’t need it that was perhaps an over share of me seeing what you July and relating it to what I have been working on recently. Guess I missed that mission statement somewhere. Cool work - is that a cli tool for uploading?

The idea is: - ipfs for file uploading/downloading - farcaster to point to the uploaded content in a human-friendly way that orders content in a feed. - Decentralized, local-first, no choke points. The design has changed a bit since the original post, but the idea is the same. https://blog.vrypan.net/2025/03/23/lemon3-farcaster-ipfs-decentralized-file-sharing/
