When I first saw Zuck's announcement about AI accounts in Meta, I thought, "He's copying truth terminal and @aethernet and @mfergpt because this is the future" but I did not foresee that Meta would take AI accounts straight down into the uncanny valley. I prefer that bots be bots, do bot things, and not impersonate humans with fake kids and road trips.

Not to mention that it's so much cooler to let users of the network create their own bots with personalities than to centrally create fake, bland people from a board room (with input from legal counsel lol). But this requires a programmable network with open data, and Meta shut that off over a decade ago.
