“this has been done before” is a common reaction to many products, but when facebook launched, six degrees/friendfeed users also said that. nobody knows what will click in the end. my younger arrogant self used to judge as if i knew, but i am humbled to the floor and open minded today.

"this has been done before" is a great signal! Means there is a market for it and often just capturing 1% of that market is totally worth it
