Shaquille O'Neal will pay $11 million dollars to Astral NFT investors.
The Astral NFT project was launched in 2022 and consisted of 10,000 NFTs created by artist Damien Gimono. Shaquille O'Neal actively supported the project, thus attracting investors to invest in it.
In 2023, the value of the NFTs plummeted dramatically.
Investors sued the basketball player, accusing him of advertising unregistered securities on social networks. The lawsuit also noted that NFT prices fell because O'Neal stopped supporting the project.
Shaquille agreed to return 11 million dollars to investors.
