Gary Gensler has announced his retirement.
He held the post of SEC chairman for almost four years. During his tenure, he was noted for tightening rules for cryptocurrency platforms and numerous court cases against various crypto projects.
Gary will retire from January 20, 2025, at the time when Trump is due to take office as President of the United States.
