Bradford is a town in West Yorkshire, England. It is located 14 kilometers west of Leeds, and 26 kilometers northwest of Wakefield. Bradford became a municipal borough in 1847 and a city in 1897. Following local government reform in 1974, it was granted city status (City of Bradford).
