Eyes on La Vuelta 🇪🇸 Stage 20… Queen stage in Sierra Nevada today! This has to be the day. If something is going to happen to turn up the excitement at the top of the GC, it has to be today. Four hard climbs before the final HC ascent to Collado del Alguacil… almost 5,000 metres of elevation gain; this is so brutal that I expect the peloton to split into multiple groups from the very beginning. There will be the dreamers looking for the breakaway. After Dunbar’s win yesterday, I read a comment about how this Vuelta has become a race for breakaway hunters, and I really liked that way of putting it: “La Vuelta for dreamers.” There will also be the GC teams looking for their tactical moves. So, today I have the feeling we’re going to see things happening all over the race at the same time. If only the strongest make it to the finish… Mas takes the stage too, just to leave absolutely no doubts about who deserves to win this Vuelta. Five hours of pure cycling ahead! Photo by Miguel Ena
