Great read. Love the idea that intelligence is an emergent outcome of data. Speaking of weather models. Did you see DeepMind's Graphcast? The fact that it works feels like we could ultimately apply this to any chaotic system and predict it.

love this, thinking of "Notes from Deep Time" - that rocks (and water, when cold enough) are just data compressed over deep time, and that saving the climate is also about saving data, saving the past is saving the future.
