Sui strikes back! 

Last week, a hacker drained $223M from Cetus Protocol, using fake tokens and smart contract flaws. 

But then Sui flipped the script with the validators freezing $162M of it on-chain. 

Then came on the big move… 
They let the community vote, and with 90.9% of validator stake in favor, they decided to forcibly unlock the frozen funds and move them to a secure multisig wallet in order to reimburse users, fully and fairly. 

So yeah, they basically hacked back the hacker!

This decision sparked some debate around decentralization vs. intervention but either way, it’s a major moment in blockchain history.
