The deeper you delve into football history, the clearer it becomes that the notion of a 20-goal striker is overstated. What you truly need is a striker who scores over 15 goals and enhances the performance of those around him, and who can occasionally achieve a 20-goal season as well. Players like Drogba and Firmino @ashmoney.eth @kmacb.eth @chukwukaosakwe @veekay @henryadewole @jvaleska.eth

yeah. messi and ronaldo producing such insane perfomances and high goal scoring seasons for an entire decade really skewed the perspective and expectations from a modern day striker. followed by haaland having 35 G/A in 44 games is seen as a failure season (despite him being injured for half of it) mainly because he set an expectation in the treble winning season where he scored 61 G/A in 52 games. these are exceptional number that you’d ideally only see occasionally and its sad that its expected to be a norm. too much pressure on 9s

this is why i don't think arsenal need an elite striker. our best spells so far have been with jesus and havertz at 9. neither known for their prolific goalscoring. we need a pretty good striker who is great at lots of other things. hence why i prefer sesko to gyokeres.
