he moved goku, the main protagonist, away from the spotlight, emphasized the rest of the cast (almost everyone of them had their moments to shine), gave the badass Future Trunks a super cool origin story, created the most horrifying villains.

we got to experience all of this insane storytelling just because the editors didn't like the character designs of androids 19 and 20.
