According to Reuters, Gemini and Coinbase are expected to receive EU licenses from Malta and Luxembourg respectively under the new MiCA regulations, allowing them to operate across all 27 EU countries. Malta's fast approval of OKX and Crypto com has raised concerns among other regulators about its oversight capacity. ESMA is reviewing Malta's licensing process and plans to release a report.
