Apple is considered a "defensive" stock in the tech sector. During market declines it usually loses less than others. Investors often keep it in their portfolios even during a crisis, because Apple consistently earns money from services, the ecosystem, and expensive products.
Apple also pays dividends and regularly buys back its shares from the market, which artificially supports the price. This makes AAPL particularly resilient for long-term investors, although short-term speculators also like it for its liquidity and clear dynamics.
