On July 16, 1945, at 5:29 AM, in the New Mexico desert, humanity detonated its first nuclear bomb.
Code name: Trinity. It was the culmination of the ultra-secret Manhattan Project, which brought together the greatest scientific minds of the time.

The blast — equivalent to ~21,000 tons of TNT — created a fireball taller than a skyscraper, and the shockwave was felt over 100 miles away.
One witness recalled: “The earth shook. The sky lit up brighter than the sun. We knew there was no going back.”
