Don't call this great match management by Slot. Liverpool's solid currency was mere copper today. But let's not call it sheer luck either.
Getting out of such a storm even with a 0-0 draw would have been an achievement of a championship-caliber team.
This wasn't a final. And a championship team is allowed one such match per season. There won't be a second.
It's worth noting that in the second half, Paris' onslaught was no longer as magnificent. And yes, everyone forgets this—myself included—but the goalkeeper is a player too.
