New: A Slightly Darker Dark Dark mode got a glow up with a brand new color scheme. We also touched up the notifications screens and made a few tweaks to light mode as well. Mobile only for now, rolling out to all users. h/t @blockheim @tanishq @bigolal @slokh

i think the new mention color on that bg fails standard accessibility/contrast tests. fwiw im finding the @'s a little harder to read in dark mode.

maybe my two cents, but i wouldnt use pure black (#000000) in web design(nor pure white actually, tho i think it s a bit more acceptable to the eye). it creates a weird contrast. hence the accent color (#866afd) doesnt rlly pass the contrast checker rn. if you rlly want smth dark dark try alternatives like #121212 or #0c0c0c, they re SLIGHTLY brighter, but do the optical trick
