Steve Yegge taking a detour from building AI orchestrators to cash out his creator coins and then write a long post about it was not on my bingo cards for Jan 2026.
I still don't think creator coins in their current iteration make sense for all the stated reasons, but this might be the strongest counter-signal yet.
