Thanks for posting this @yes2crypto.eth! 1. We're going to work very hard to not go down. 2. If you want to be safe, backup your seed phrase in a secure password manger like Apple's Passwords app. Be very careful about the app you use, don't use Dropbox/Apple Notes or other unsecured apps. 3. If you want to use it another wallet, you can. We don't encourage this unless you are an advanced user or are in an emergency where you can't access Farcaster.

Why don't we encourage using external wallets unless you are an advanced user? The Farcaster wallet has transaction scanning, which protects against most bad transactions that can drain your funds. Some wallets don't offer this and we've seen people get tricked into imported their seed into such a wallet and then signing away funds. If you are going to use another wallet, make sure you do your research first. Otherwise the safest bet is to just keep a backup and use it in case of emergency.

Awesome advice from both of you! While it’s definitely for more advanced users, I’d also add that anyone storing a relatively large amount use something like Safe so no single compromised seed phrase or wallet completely drains all your funds.
