Don’t use your FC wallet keys in other wallets. If you get compromised, there is no way to rotate the wallet with our key storage model today. It’s ok to export your keys and put in a password manager, or to send funds out to another wallet.

Why don’t we support rotating keys? We will in the future but it’s a very complicated feature and can open up other avenues for losing funds (e.g. rotating a wallet that has funds in it and forgetting to back it up) For the time being, be careful when exporting wallets

That's why I always put funds in Farplet only when I wanna use it. But it will good have an option if we can see the recovery phrase and write it down rather copying it directly to clipboard.

I would push back on the "is ok to export your keys and put in a password manager". The number of wallets drained after the LastPass compromise should inform us on the hazards of doing that.

Just a heads up I had *all* my wallets drained, inc my ledger, a little over a year ago bc of the LastPass pw manager hacks where hackers stole entire databases that LastPass hadn’t updated properly, along w some code that something like 2 people in the company had access to. There are MANY people who were impacted the way I was bc of those same breaches, inc some *major* players, so I will never trust a pw manager again. Also had an apartment burn down years ago & lost pretty much everything, & no one can convince me any ‘fire proof steel punch plate’ or any other thing would have survived that, so I will also never trust anything physical. My work around (that I feel about as good as I can about) is to use two different pw managers & store half the seed in one & half in the other. W everything I’ve seen & experienced over the years, I’d be hesitant to share that publicly, except unfortunately I don’t have anything of value to steal anymore, let alone that $8k BTC I used to have 🙃

do you have any suggestion on how to secure the FC wallet with the current FC infra design? I personally would never use FC wallet for other than: - FC mini app - tipping - sending money directly from wallet interface in FC other than that, I will just a different wallet. but yeah storing the PK on paper just in case

I had to recover my account via registered email. Recovery successfully (as you can see). But if I go to my wallet it keeps saying "loading wallet" and never loads. Might this be somehow connected? Have tried to reinstall app multiple times

Hi dear @v I had a question, is there any option to unlink Farcaster account in different devices? I mean something like this option on telegram wich you can review the list of devices you logged in and terminate session. I feel this is what I need on Farcaster right now.
