Farcaster signups are going to become 10x cheaper in July. Signing up now requires a payment of 20c instead of $2. Storage units are proportionally smaller, but this makes it easier for apps to sponsor users. Big shoutout to @sanjay and @dynemyte for major performance improvements on Snapchain which enabled this. https://github.com/farcasterxyz/protocol/discussions/229

Any plans to streamline appsโ€™ ability to onboard users to the protocol? A privy-like embedded structure where we can just generate the FID during sign up and let the user take ownership of it later would be amazing. I could even imagine us developing a sort of bridge from Ponder app to Farcaster app.

Does smaller storage units mean, for example, that the capacity of the unit is 1/10th but the cost is also 1/10th? In other words, the cost of the same capacity storage remains the same?
