Interesting question that reflects previous and current metas of the onchain creative economy.
For @enjoytech.eth, we're forming thinking about three general personas:
-Creators
-Curators
-Speculators
Trouble is, these roles are not mutually exclusive. Perhaps then, it's not about defining personas from the perspective of roles, but actions:
-Creating
-Curating
-Speculating
When you frame the audience through action, it's much easier to create a reputation system tied to behaviors.
Now, someone who identifies as an Artist or Collector can build reputation through creating and curating.
Problems w/ curation:
-Too few ways to do so
-Poorly leveraged/surfaced via reputation systems
-Poorly incentivized (big)
The question shouldn't be which would you rather; there should be a variety of ways to curate with a variety of orders of financial magnitude.
Whether I tip, bid, add to a gallery, share, or otherwise, it should be incentivized and measured.
