Once upon a time, pre-FC, when I was more active on nftwitter, I started a project called [URBAN MYTHOLOGY] [V2]. It was a photographic exploration of NYC over the 4 seasons. The entire body of work is explorable via metadata incl Season, Time, Neighborhood, etc. I minted Summer, Fall, and the first set in Winter, had most of Winter edited, and all of Spring shot. It was 500+ 1/1s before I burnt out. Minting on mainnet was expensive, listing was annoying, and worst of all configuring the metadata via Manifold was a huge timesuck. I made 1+ ETH across platforms, but spent a huge portion of that on minting the tokens. To make it more engaging, I made posters and collector's editions for each season. I made a webpage explaining the project, but it was janky bc ultimately you had to go to opensea, manifold, etc to interact with the nfts. Today, after months of not using a "real" camera, barely taking photos, the itch returns. Given I now have the powers of software development, I can make my own tooling AND end experience.
