- we used to play games on the pc & were allotted an hour of time each. so we would alternate turns with our ‘powers combined’ to play 2hrs but he never complained when he would lose in a min & basically watch me play mario with his finger on the fire key like he’s winning - i used to do this thing with my brother where we used to get under a blanket and treat it like a spaceship. eventually it became a signifier for being an escape from the world because in there we were together and safe and nothing could go wrong. whenever i’m gloomy i go back - to the reason why (if I have the privilege to) i’ll raise two kids instead of one. at the same time the reason why i have the confidence that can raise even one in the first place. to the best link to my past and the most potent key to my future.
