🍿 The *Chernobyl* series, which compellingly recounts one of the greatest nuclear disasters in history, is both a historical documentary and a powerful drama that offers lessons for humanity. The show vividly illustrates the consequences of negligence and lies, clearly demonstrating the threat they pose to humanity. One of the most striking aspects of the series is its emphasis on the inevitability of truth. 'Every lie we tell incurs a debt to the truth. Sooner or later, that debt is paid.' This statement, in my opinion, encapsulates the central theme of the series. The cost of trying to cover up the truth is severe, both for people and the world. It reminds the audience once again of the devastating consequences of lies and negligence. As Mikhail Gorbachev noted in his 2006 essay, the Chernobyl disaster played a significant role in the collapse of the Soviet Union. This aspect is also powerfully portrayed in the series. I rate the show 91 out of 100
