š Ethereum may start creating new blocks twice as fast ā not every 12 seconds, but every 6 seconds. This is being discussed as part of the EIP-7782 proposal and could be implemented in the Glamsterdam upgrade in 2026. The acceleration will increase network performance, improve the operation of DeFi applications, and may reduce fees.
