I actually don't want to build for beauty and grandeur
I want the hearty , grounded satisifaction of simple labor.
I don't care about the aesthetic as much as I care about the stability , the scale , the values.
I resent that we percieve politics and community the way we do, but I can't blame it on the attention economy or consumerism , its a pattern recognition impulse.
Its not as if beauty has to be decadent, and I want to have the internal surplus to explore this creative labor eventually. I'm very inspired by some of my contemporaries who are doing this work.
