Interesting thought regarding the Farcaster verification changes: It seemed initially like the goal was for people to find a new home away from X. People may have deleted their profiles because farcaster was touted as an alternative to X, threads, and the like. Telling people that they now have to use X to verify their farcaster profiles seems like a step back. However I'm not sure if too many people actually deleted their profiles. (I did, then realized at the time you didn't get all that much news, pop culture, etc, so I recreated it) but. I'm thinking there are still some folks out there that no longer have a profile. What were the preliminary thoughts around verification options in order to try and protect against Sybils? Also, I wonder if the endless amounts of Sybil protection and verification apps could enter in here to protect against the need against using phone numbers and stuff. (Full disclosure, I did use my phone number (probably the wrong one), will explain if asked.
