I understand you so well! I remember in elementary school, we each took a plant home for the summer. I loved mine so much that I wanted to keep it forever. So I took a cutting - just one leaf - and my grandma told me to put it in water and it would grow roots. It was such a magical feeling when, a few days later, I saw those tiny little white roots starting to grow from the stem.

First of all you need to trim the top leaves a bit I think. I usually cut a heel cutting for rosemary and lavender with a sharp knife, then use honey or hormone powder to stimulate growth and place them into rich dirt or straight compost. Good luck!

That’s how every great experiment starts — a bit of curiosity and way too much confidence.
