Gameboys! I still have all of mine from childhood and bought new ones to mod. In 2012 I started making music on them, the beeps and boops from old soundchips with simple square and sinewaves takes me back to my childhood instantly. Repurposing old tech for new purposes (synthesizers/sequencers) makes me appreciate it on a completely different level, pushing the limitations of the hardware to make cool modern sounds.

Thanks dude! Yeah there's a cartridge you can buy called "nanoloop" for gameboy advance you can write music and save all your songs to play back. There's a small scene for this music i used to play lots of shows back then. Good times 💜
