I think there’s also a tendency to try and constantly reinvent the wheel when it comes to onchain governance, which comes with shiny object syndrome. There is no one size fits all solution. It’s difficult at scale no matter what the framework. A distribution of tokens convolutes that to a degree.
Tokens aside, it comes down to delegating trust.
