I want to start this week off with appreciation. I will share with you a story of someone that I appreciate greatly in this space. Many of you may know @joseacabrerav from around Farcaster, Discord, or many other web3 communities. You may have even heard him play some live music in a space! His energy, charm, and boundless positivity is hard to not catch your attention! Which is not mistake; Jose has found synergy in web3 to fuse his passion for street music with the cutting edge of technology to fuel human coordination. He brings the healing power of live music into the digital space and uses it to fight against coordination failure. 🤘 Amazing as that is, this isn't what I appreciate Jose for today. Today I appreciate him for how he uses the healing power of music to connect with the people closest to him, as well. Jose isn't just sharing his music in web3 to benefit us. He works hard, living in Venezuela where access to financial services is extremely challenging. Ethereum has provided banking where his local economy was unable. He doesn't work for his own benefit, however. He is the provider for his mother and grandma, who is suffering from Alzheimer's and Arthritis. He does so with great pleasure, as can be demonstrated in this adorable video he used @pinetree to share with the world. You can literally see the music light her up inside, especially as he sings along with her. Making the sacrifices to put in the time and care to share these kinds of moments with an aging loved one is a gift few in today's world can slow down enough to earn. I appreciate Jose for sharing this gift with all of us, so that we too can feel just a taste of this reward— and hopefully encourage us all to spend some time with someone who might appreciate the sacrifice.
