Any reason why you quote casted in lieu of a reply?

I quoted, because you weren’t following and isolated replies from someone not following you, often lead to being labeled spammy

Quote casts when they could have been a reply, however are. 

Quote casts should be reserved for when you add something to the conversation but want to broadcast it to your friends (like a differing opinion or even a dunk) otherwise it looks like “hey look at me talking to Tricil” - there’s a balance and nuance here.
