I love this recipe, my family didnt come up with this but this way of making is very popular in turkey 1 kg strawberries 1 kg granulated sugar Juice of half a lemon 1 tablespoon butter First, remove the stems of the strawberries. Place the strawberries in a deep bowl and sprinkle the sugar over them. Let it sit in the refrigerator for at least 5–6 hours or overnight. Then transfer the strawberries and sugar into a pot. Bring it to a boil over medium heat. Once it starts boiling, reduce the heat, add the butter, and cook for 30–35 mins. Add the lemon juice and let it boil for another 2–3 mins. Put the jam into jars. Once cooled, close the lids tightly and store in a cool, dark place away from sunlight. If you store it properly jam is good for a year.
